Opening of the Flower Garden at the Garden of Rest

Official Opening of the Flower Garden at the Garden of Rest, Red Lake, Ketley, Saturday 28th May at 10 am. Ketley Parish Council has created a Flower Garden within the Garden of Rest. This area is specifically designed to be a memorial garden for reflection and contemplation. This will be the part of the Garden of Rest set aside for the scattering of ashes, placing of flowers and commemorative plaques. It will be officially opened on Saturday 28th May at 10 am. It will now be open for the scattering of Ashes and the placing of memorial plaques by all residents of Ketley parish. The area will also be available for the scattering of ashes to anyone with links to Ketley who wishes to remember their loved ones in this lovely spot. This initiative is part of the Parish Council’s plans to ensure the future viability and sustainability of the Garden of Rest after all the grave spaces are full. Ketley Parish Plan

A group of local residents and Parish Councillors have produced a plan for the years 2010 - 2014. It can be seen on the website under 'The Council' - 'Minutes of other meetings' at the moment. It is possible to obtain a hard copy by calling in at the Community Centre on Holyhead Road. Please let your councillors have any feedback on the plans.

Paddock Mound

Volunteer Day – February 2nd Clearance of overhanging vegetation, coppicing of some trees, pruning of bushes and trees and clearance of trees on the top of the mound. Followed on the Monday by Telford & Wrekin chipping our cleared debris, coppicing some of the larger trees and work to the wooded mound overlooking the Holyhead Road.
